True Mosaics Studio has a new studio space in New Orleans!

We are doing some mosaic facade improvement on the building.... Anyone driving past the intersection of Chartres and St. Ferdinand St in the Marigny will get a colorful eye-full.

I taught my inaugural class in the new space, a professional development training class, Facilitating Community Mosaic Projects, during which we created mural elements with recycled materials for the Green Project in New Orleans. Students came from all corners of the US for this 4-day training.

Working on: My spring and summer lineup of classes, a community mosaic mural in Clouet Gardens in Bywater, New Orleans, and planning for a quick trip to Haiti, where I will be visiting an orphanage in Cange run by Partners In Health and doing some training with the Mirebalais Mosaic Collective in Mirebalais.

In the Studio: We've just begun a large mural for private client in Sausalito,

The Global Mosaic Project is ramping up with international project trips to Costa Rica and France and I was awarded an artist's residency at A Studio in the Woods outside New Orleans where I will be creating a new body of work exploring the ebb and flow of natural and urban environments and their impact on human life.

Hope to see you in New Orleans or somewhere in the World!
