The year started out with a lot of travel and some great projects. In January I worked with the Mirebalais Mosaic Collective in Mirebalais, Haiti to create a series of murals and mosaic enhancements for the newly built Rehabilitation Center at University Hospital, in partnership with Partners In Health. I also got to visit my students in Jacmel to see what magic they have been creating down there: an epic mosaic staircase and a series of mosaics for the newly constructed Tourism Center.
I had a wonderful experience teaching in Buenos Aires in Feburary at FJ Mosaic Art. We created a gorgeous mural for the subway with a group of adult students.
My 2015 class schedule is out!.. Check it out. I am happy to be working and teaching more in New Orleans this year with destination workshops in the South of France in June and October.
This Spring I'm working with Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center on a project for the Faubourg Lafitte neighborhood in New Orleans. Continuing the mosaic kaleidoscopes on the facade of my studio and looking forward to launching into the creation of the first in a series of murals for the Urban Eyes Project.
