Multi-Level Open Mosaic Classes
Level: Any
Some materials included
Join us in the studio on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings for our ongoing, drop-in, multi-level classes. Students can schedule at their own pace and enjoy a community atmosphere combined with one-on-one instruction. Single class sessions and multiple class packages available. New, continuing and visiting students welcome.
Time to get your creative juices flowing with other mosaic enthusiasts of all levels!
Spend a few hours at True Mosaics Studio working on a mosaic that you will be proud of. Come yourself, or bring a couple friends.
Laurel will work with students according to their experience level as they create a beginning mosaic piece, or tackle a larger or more complicated project. Basic instruction includes: information on how to select the proper base, adhesive and materials for your project, use of mosaic tools and guidance for tackling specific projects. Tools and adhesives provided.
A great option for those who have always wanted to try mosaics or want to get back into it. Continuing students will receive focused instruction and lessons according to their project.
Due to the nature of this class, students should bring or purchase their own bases and materials. Bases and materials are also available for purchase at True Mosaics Studio (for students in class only) and we have some materials out and available for student use including mixed, broken colored tile and stained glass, mirror and recycled tile.
Examples of bases available for purchase:
Picture frames, wooden wall hangings, mirror frames, trivets and coasters, small boxes, glass bottles and ceramic trays and wood platters, glass lamps, cut out shapes, wedi (cement) board, stepping stones, flower pots and more, all subject to availability.
Some project storage available for students purchasing multiple sessions.
Note: This is not a class for architectural projects. Sculptural or three-dimensional projects are fine, within certain sizes.
